Little Horn of Daniel 7 vs Small Horn of Daniel 8

“In the latter period of their rule, when the transgressors have run their course, a king will arise, insolent and skilled in intrigue. His power will be mighty, but not by his own power, and he will destroy to an extraordinary degree and prosper and perform his will; he will destroy mighty men and the holy people. And through his shrewdness he will cause deceit to succeed by his influence; and he will magnify himself in his heart, and he will destroy many while they are at ease. He will even oppose the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human agency.” (Daniel 8:23-25)

Here the phrase “a king will arise” again refers to Satan, which is the “great red dragon” mentioned in the book of Revelation because the dragon is the arch criminal, stirring up trouble and unrest behind both the first and second beasts.

Catch firmly these two little and small “horns” in the book of Daniel:

One horn is the “little horn” in Daniel chapter 7, representing the Fourth Beast in Daniel’s vision, which is also the First Beast coming up out of the sea in Revelation.

Another horn is the “small horn” in Daniel chapter 8, representing a religious power arraigned against God in the End Stage – this power is the Second Beast coming up out of the earth in Revelation.

And behind the horns is the “king” – the dreadful “dragon”, also called the “serpent” – “skilled in intrigue”, capable of playing tricks on people everywhere.

Then you will not be confused and wander back and forth, left and right, in the maze of the End Times.
