Meanings of the Number 1260 in Revelation

“And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” (Revelation 11:3)

The two witnesses in chapter 11 of Revelation represent all saints of the world who have testified for the Lord during the Millennial Jubilee. The phrase “clothed in sackcloth” points to the sign of repentance and request for mercy from God. Was it not because the citizens of Nineveh “covered themselves with sackcloth and sat on the ashes” after they heard Jonah's message, that they received mercy from God who indeed spared the whole city from being destroyed? As for the number 1260 in “twelve hundred and sixty days” we can see the following result after applying to it one of the dividing principles in Theomatics: 1260 --> 1 + 2 + 6 + 0 = 9 9 is a number representing termination of everything, similar to the meaning of “conclusion” carried in “Red Sea” – “sea of reed.” In other words, these “two witnesses” will preach the Gospel until the days of the End Point, the moment of the Lord's coming.

Those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. (Revelation 11:9)

In the above verse, Greek verbs for “look at” and “not permit” are both in the future tense as most English versions translate correctly. Do not think that once you see the “dead bodies” and then you immediately claim they are dead indeed – that is simply something for the future. In the Bible, it is not strange to render “day” as “year” – God had once assigned Ezekiel to lie down on his sides twice “for forty days, a day for each year” (Ezekiel 4:6) Thus we can count the “three and a half days” in the above verse as “three and half years.” In detail, 1260 days, 42 months, and “a time and times and half a time” (or three and half years) all point to the same time period. Therefore, we can see clearly that these “three and a half days” as “three and half years”, 1260 days, 42 months, and “a time and times and half a time” all refer to the End Stage. The reason the worldly people “will not permit” their bodies to be laid in a tomb is because these “three and a half days” are not yet completed, nor is the testimony of the two witnesses.

“And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.” (Revelation 12:5-6)

The woman's male child not only symbolizes the Christ, but also includes all who have entered into the Lord to become members of His own body. Therefore, the 1260 days in this verse are like the 1260 days for the two witnesses, both representing the entire era of the Millennial Jubilee. During this entire period in the wilderness, God allows those who belong to Him to experience testing, chastening and feeding by manna so that the life in them could become more and more mature, in order to meet the requirements for being raptured into heaven. Thus we can further understand that, not everyone is worthy to be raptured; if the fullness of the wilderness years and months is not complete, no one can enter the land of Canaan.

There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him. (Revelation 13:5)

As far as time is concerned, 1260 days, 42 months and “time, times, and half a time” are all associated with the special period of “End Stage.” However, among these various expressions of years, months and days, only “42 months” is associated with the Beast and the Gentiles together. See here: the Beast is given the authority “to act for forty-two months” and Gentile nations are allowed to “tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.” Number 42 represents all kinds of difficult hardships and tests; The “moon” is associated with dark nights. For the people of God, when the Beast and Gentile nations are in control and are doing everything as they will, those days are indeed dark all around, along with foggy bewilderment and unimaginable hardships. For this so-called Great Tribulation, what else is more sad and dreadful than having days as nights and not being able to see with opened eyes? Meanings of 1290 and 1335 Days in Book of Daniel Chapter 12

“From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1290 days. How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1335 days!” (Daniel 12:11-12)

Here we see two numbers: 1290 and 1335. Utilizing one of the dividing principles in Theomatics, we have: 1290 --> 1 + 2 + 9 + 0 = 12 1335 --> 1 + 3 + 3 + 5 = 12 Thus we see that, for numbers 1290 and 1335 the results after being divided up and then summed together are the same, both are 12. Number 12 is another number representing power and perfection. No matter whether our goal is to be cleansed of “the abomination” or to become a “blessed” person, we have to be ushered into a perfection and God is able to usher us in. To investigate further, we will see that the number 1335 is associated with a circulating triple-element numerical root* (133-55-250) of the number 4, which represents all creation. For a blessed person, this endless loop has been cracked open into two parts (1335 and 5250) and he or she has been sanctified by God out of it to enter an eternal life. Number 6 and its appointed root number (217-352-160)

Appointed number and root pair: 6—(217-352-160)

Before we come to know the meaning of this number and root pair, please look at the following mathematical calculations: Pick any two numbers that you wish, add them up and divide the sum by the larger number . Repeat this process many times. See the example below. . For example, if we pick 1 and 6 this is what we would get: (1+6) --> 7/6 = 1.167 (7+6) --> 13/7 = 1.857 (13+7) --> 20/13 = 1.538 (20+13) --> 33/20 = 1.65 (33+20) --> 53/33 = 1.606 (53+33) --> 86/53 = 1.623 (86+53) --> 139/86 = 1.616 (139+86) --> 225/139 = 1.619 (225+139) --> 364/225 = 1.618 (364+225) --> 589/364 = 1.618 (589+364) --> 953/589 = 1.618 ...... The result of continued calculations (ad infinitum) can all be rounded to 1.618. You see, once we fall into the realm of 1.618, there is no way for us to get out. This number – 1.618 – is a rounded value of a mathematical quantity that never stops and never shows a pattern in its decimals. It is commonly represented by the Greek letter f (Phi). The well-known “golden ratio,” 0.618, is in fact the reciprocal of Phi. In retrospect of man's favor and promotion of the “golden ratio” you can know the real meaning of Phi. Do you know? The navel on a person's belly divides the person's body in the ratio of Phi (1.618) from head to toe into these two parts: 1 (head to navel) and 1.618 (navel to toe). In other words, the navel on a person's belly that comes from his or her birth is a synonym for Phi. This tells us that upon birth everyone falls into the vicious cycle of (217-352-160) without knowing it. Read how the apostle Paul gave the definition for belly:

“For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.” (Philippians 3:18-19)

Thus we see the reason why the number 6 is associated with Phi is, because once a person departs from God, they will fall into the vicious cycle of making the belly their God, the shame their glory, and the earthly things their focus of mind – unless God's grace of redemption intervenes, no one can get out of this cycle. In interpreting the Bible, people pay special attention to the verse when a certain word or concept occurs the first time because this action carries with it a meaning of searching for its origin and digging out its root. It is not an exception for the numerical interpretation of the Bible. We have shown that the numerical root (217-352-160) comes the first time after the number 16. If the number 1 in 16 represents God and 6 represents humans, then based on the above calculations we can obviously see: 1 and 6 should not be separated; whenever they are, even by a tiny dot, the end result will become closer and closer to 1.618. Whenever one falls into this vicious cycle of Phi, no one can get out of it. Therefore, only when the relationship between 1 and 6 enters into a status of multiplication (1x6), i.e., God in man and man in God without separation, can one escape the fate of being hitched tightly by (217-352-160). On the other hand, we see that besides being assigned to (217-352-160) to form an appointed number and root pair, the number 6 also has its own numerical root – 153. Therefore, we also need to take the meaning of 153 into our consideration in order to completely understand the inner relationships among all these numbers. As mentioned earlier, the numerical root 153 is connected to the fraction 1/3. Thus, as created beings living on earth, somehow we inherently carry the same sinful nature as that of the 1/3 fallen angels. This forces us to see these two points: (1) As created beings who carry with us the inherent sinful nature, we easily fall into Satan's trap of self-centeredness and arrogance and cannot get out, just like the initial fallen angels; (2) Human beings face another critical challenge: Whenever we depart from God, we will fall into the vicious cycle of making our belly our God, our shame our glory, and earthly things our focus of mind. To break away from this vicious cycle, the only way out is to accept God's ordained salvation, by believing in the Lord Jesus and uniting as one with Him so that we can rest in 5—407 which represents God's grace. It is not hard to comprehend that when 1/3 of those whose names are in God's Book of Life, i.e. 1/3 of people who are mentioned as God's people in the book of Zachariah, enter into eternity in the day of the Lord Jesus' second coming, in essence they will replace the positions of those original fallen angels so that all creations are restored to their original harmonious state with God. Number and Root Pair 4--(133-55-250)

Now we look at what the number and root combination 4—(133-55-250) mean. As we have said earlier, the number 4 represents all creation, especially angels who were created earlier than men. It tells us that as created beings (obviously including each of us) there is always something that is hidden and ready to make trouble inside – the ego – which makes us hard to be obedient to God. As soon as a thread of disobedience creeps up, it is inevitable to fall into a self-centered and endless circle. Unless the grace of God intervenes, no one is able to walk out of this vicious circle. The characteristic feature about fallen angels is that they walk onto a path of sin and rebellion against God because of ignorance. Once sins are committed, it is not easy for them to repent of their sins. And the consequence of their reluctance to repent will cause them to sin more and fall into deeper sins. Therefore, no repentance even unto death and sinning again and again are the connotative meanings that the root combination 4—(133-55-250) is intended to reveals to us. How fallen angels rebelled in heaven against God and tried to establish another kingdom in the past, in the same way, this rebellious nature has passed on to humankind, causing us to fall into a vicious and self-centered circle apart from the life of God. Today, how many people are still walking along this tragic path out of sheer ignorance, thinking it is the path of success and glory. No wonder the Bible stresses continuously:

“Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)
