What is the Fourth Beast in Daniel?

2/04

“After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.” (Daniel 7:7)

Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. (Revelation 13:1)

The Fourth Beast in Daniel’s vision is the First Beast coming up out of the sea in the book of Revelation.

From the time the king of Babylon dreamed of the “great single statue” forward, when human history has come to the era of “Ten Toes,” we have come to the Last Days...

Is China in Bible Prophecy?

2/03

“After this I kept looking, and behold, another one, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.” (Daniel 7:6)

This Third Beast that Daniel saw in his vision refers to China.

It is not too hard for people this day and age to figure it out: with a galloping economic growth in Mainland China, isn’t this country like a “Golden Leopard” with wings of a bird?

This golden leopard has four heads – the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and each was governed by its own “head” in the past and some are still operating as “one country with two systems” – these are undeniable realities.

The book of Zechariah speaks of this fast growing worldwide trade in a figurative language as “two women… had wi...

Is Russia in Bible Prophecy?

2/02

“And behold, another beast, a second one, resembling a bear. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and thus they said to it, ‘Arise, devour much meat!’” (Daniel 7:5)

The Second Beast refers to the former Soviet Union before being split apart after the Second World War.

This former united country in the Socialist camp, nicknamed the “Russian Bear,” once had three small republic member states located in the area of the Baltic Sea: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Open a map and see the pictures — do they not look like the “three ribs… in its mouth between its teeth”?

During the Cold War between the camp of socialist Iron Curtain rule and the camp of capitalist democratic rule, how many countries in Eastern Europe and other pa...

Is United States of America in Bible Prophecy?

2/01

The first was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man; a human mind also was given to it. (Daniel 7:4)

Living in the eve of Jesus’ Second Coming and looking from where we stand today, it is not hard for us to see what the four beasts that Daniel saw stand for.

For the First Beast that “was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle,” it refers to the Euro-American countries that are represented by the United Kingdom and United States of America, characterized by their Christian culture and background.

Just take a glance at the lion figures in the coat of arms of U.K. and Canada, and then look at the eagles on the national emblems of U.S...

Whose Covenant – the Christ’s or the Antichrist?

2/17

“And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week [sevens], but in the middle of the week [sevens] he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” (Daniel 9:27)

This is the most misunderstood verse in the whole Bible!

An overwhelming majority of people interpret the twice-occurring “he” in English translations of the Bible as referring to the last Antichrist. In reality, considering this verse’s pretext and Jesus’ salvation on the Cross, we should clearly see this: the word “he” refers to “God” Himself in both cases!

Do not forget this: it is God who has sovereignty over all, not the evil ...

Where was Daniel when Nebuchadnezzar’s gold image was set up?

1/11

Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts, and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon. (Daniel 2:48)

Then the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates and all the rulers of the provinces were assembled for the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. (Daniel 3:3)

After we have reviewed the life of Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, let us come back and look at Daniel. Granted, many must have this question in mind: where was Daniel when king Nebuchadnezzar had ordered all his officials of high and low ranks to stand before the image?

The above verses show that “t...

Day 12 Message of Book 2: Dividing Truths in Daniel & Revelation

1/12

Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face and did homage to Daniel, and gave orders to present to him an offering and fragrant incense. (Daniel 2:46)

Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with wrath, and his facial expression was altered toward Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. He answered by giving orders to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. (Daniel 3:19)

The above two verses reveal Nebuchadnezzar’s two reactions that are in stark contrast to each other.

In the second verse, the original language for “facial expression” in “his facial expression was altered” is composed of two words, with one meaning “face”, which is the same word as the “face” in “fell on his face” in the first verse, and another meaning “expression”, the same word as “image” in the “golden image...
