“Then he will stretch out his hand against other countries, and the land of Egypt will not escape. But he will gain control over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the precious things of Egypt; and Libyans and Ethiopians will follow at his heels.” (Daniel 11:42-43)
The Hebrew meaning of “Libya” is “dry”; “Ethiopia” means “black”.
When he “gain(s) control over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the precious things,” those people whose hearts are “dry” and who are thirsting after these treasures of gold, or those who dare to use any method, however “black”, to obtain their goals, would they not be moved to follow this leader?
Perhaps we cannot rule out the possibility for certain special events to take place in regions such as Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia when we are close to the End Point of the End Stage.
However, no matter what will happen, it is the spiritual realities behind whatever political or religious events that we should not miss in our observations.

It is interesting because today I read an article written by a gentleman called Daniel Matson who explains the significance of the following Scriptures in Isaiah and Jeremiah:
“In that Day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt, for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them.” (Isaiah 19:19-20)
“Which has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day…” (Jeremiah 32:20a)
According to his article, the pyramids of Egypt are extremely important in witnessing the wonder of the Savior. He talks about the Christ Angle that is associated with the Egypt pyramid. You can read his article in full length from this link:

The real answer is: as fallen men in Adam, we are all condemned. The Good News is that He who condemned us came and became condemned on our behalf on the Cross of Calvary so that we can bear our own Cross and follow Him. Our hope is the final and all at once Resurrection after death that the coming One will bring with Him.
